Rosella Opalite from The Goldfields Western Australia
Opalite is also known as common opal, it is opal the does not have exhibit play of colour.
This is a specimen of a lovely "New" variety of Opalite that is already fairly scarce since there will be no more material available. The location has been completely cleaned out during the 2009 mining season. The miners decided to name it “Rosella” after a green and red parrot native to the area where it came from.
