Short Tragic Life of Leo the Marsupial Lion by John Long
Hard Back
In April 2--2, a team of cave explorers found bones in a large cavern on the Nullarbor Plain in Western Australia.
The bones were the first complete skeleton of a marsupial lion, one of Australia's most extraordinary mega fauna (extinct giant animals), thought to have lived approximately 500,000 years ago.
Leo is the fascinating story of the life of a young marsupial; lion, in a very different landscape and among very different animals than we see today, and of his early, unexpected death.
